Above and Beyond
The Pentland Hills are ever changing throughout the seasons. In late September and October they take on vibrant hues of purple in when the heather is in full bloom.

Sheep Bubble
When I first saw a photo by photographer Alan MacDonald showing these sheep in amongst the Pentland Hills, I fell in love. I imagined these sheep, in Covid times, as being in a social bubble of their own, strictly from 2 households and that tickled me. Cropping his photo into just the sheep created the desired composition that best captures my emotional response to his original image and to these animals.
