Sea: ever changing and in a constant state of movement, affected by the weather and the light. This collection of seascapes is my response to how light and weather play out across my local coastline.
People are drawn to the sea, to the coast and to the sea air for all sorts of reasons. Whether to walk the dog, have family time, a romantic walk with your special person or people, or a summer’s picnic, perhaps toasty hot chocolate from a flask in autumn or winter or just to have alone time and commune with nature.
Like many artists, I’m captivated by the colours, the shifting sands, the patterns and textures. I’m drawn by the light and how it plays across the seascape, how the weather changes so quickly sometimes and how water, sky and sand colours shift accordingly, in line with mother nature.
